I am an Aymara woman and artisan. I learned this trade when I was just a girl thanks to my mother and grandmother. I left my hometown, Cariquima, in the Chilean highlands to migrate to the city of Arica, where I perfected my techniques of spinning, dyeing, and design together with my husband and three daughters.

I am the eldest daughter of 8 siblings and to this day my mother takes care of my alpacas, from whom I take the wool for my textiles.

My process is handmade, so every piece is unique; none of them are the same as any other. I have proudly shown my work as an artisan at Chilean and international fairs.
